Brooks Blackmore

Carmel, IN

Brooks Blackmore was a healthy, active 5-year-old boy when his childhood changed forever after being diagnosed with stage IV Anaplastic Astrocytoma (brain tumors). Unable to do many of the physical activities that once came easily, Brooks turned to painting as his new creative outlet. Through his newfound passion, he created his first canvas painting “Sweet Pea Up In Heaven,” a tribute to his late English bulldog. Brooks passed away in May 2016, but his story has inspired thousands to #beBrooksbrave and live in the moment.
